Emergency call to an old peoples home nearby, elderly male with alzeihmers, threatening to smash the place up….
…what made them decide an ambulance would be a good resource to send???
We regularly get calls of this nature and they always call an ambulance, its not too disimilar to being called for someone that is intoxicated.
At the end of the day the reason for being called is normally some form of Public Order offence but they also happen to have impaired judgement due to a medical condition or alcohol. So why not just call the police to deal with the incident rather than send us who will hold off and call for the police anyway?
