		<description>Thanks for posting from the perspective of a Canadian Medic&#039;s point of view.  We too would have a public outcry if the other services where treated the way that we are.  I guess the main difference between the UK and CA is the fact that here its the Government or our Managers that are causing these issues... </description>

		<description>It is the same all over. I&#039;m from Ontario, Canada and the same nonsense goes on here.  We have an association of employers who got the government to change the Employment Standars Act to exclude us from having ANY breaks.  Why are we treated like second clas citizens?  I know that there are times when we miss lunch; that is a given, but almost every day? Do the police go without lunch or the firefighters?  Not very often.  We did aroun 84,000 calls last year with 16 24 hr ambulances.  If the police or fire services tried to do that many calls with those few vehicles and staff there would be a public outcry. </description>
