I could never be a pediatrician for exactly the same reasons. How heartbreaking. I'm sure the pediatricians out there feel the same way about their patients, but thank goodness for their strength so they can do their work anyway. I live in Portland, where OHSU has a large children's hospital, which my work brings me to occasionally. I respect the doctors and nurses there so much!
